Various kinds of skills have been forged by Bhakti Faithful Women for Women Cooperative in East Java with the aim to improve the quality of human resources present in the Bhakti Faithful Women Women's Cooperative in East Java. One of the skills training that get enthusiastic very well is skills training Glass Painting. Skills that use basic ingredients of glass as a medium for painting or coloring has artistic merit or value in the art that can make ornaments and decorate the house.
Here are a few things to note in glass painting skills:
1. Materials for Glass Painting
The basic material used is glass, in this case can use the basic ingredients of glass all around us like a glass, bottle, dish, place butter, jars, etc.. To note is the object that will be used as a medium for painting or coloring should not have a lot of scratches and blurry, choose a glass object that has a unique and artistic .[..]
2. Preparation of the base material
The basic ingredients of glass that is used as a medium for painting or coloring should be in the clear first from dirt, oil and lemak.Setelah clean and preferably dry wipe with a clean cloth by using methanol.
3. Painting designs and patterns
Basically to make a pattern-based media painting on glass depends on the tastes of each individual because the motives are in use can be various kinds. But the motif or pattern is commonly used motifs of flowers, cartoons, animals, dragonflies and butterflies. To paint or draw a skeleton motif that will be created so using the outliner in advance or can trace the pattern on the paper by putting a paper that has been patterned on the side of the glass material in the media, the next frame and motifs can be made by copying the image.
4. Dye
There are two kinds of dyes that can be used in Glass painting skills:
a. Opaque paints Coates
This is the type of paint that is not transparent and are usually in use for the new glass painting practice. How to use it is to dilute first with a thinner and Fixed Glass Catalist plus (- + 5%).
b. Transparent paint Vetro
This paint produces colors that are bright and transparent. How to use it can be directly kuaskan in glass-based media are already bersih.Untuk viscosity levels according to need can be added with paint thinner. Usually this paint in use by craftsmen who have trained glass painting
5. Painting
After the use of Out liner / line out on the medium of glass, could be in kuaskan with Cat Cat Transparent or Opaque Coates Vetro. It would be better if the process of painting using a nylon brush. Kuaskan paint evenly on the glass medium not too thick. When finished coloring and then dried. (WBA)
